Hello and welcome to the Careli host family team! You'll be hosting Giulia for the July junior group. Giulia is on the autism spectrum — she's lovely and very capable, and simply does best with a consistent daily routine and a quiet space to decompress after activities. I'll send a short welfare brief this week.

Thank you Sarah — we're really looking forward to it. We have a quiet box room set up as a study and we keep evenings calm, so that should suit her well. Is there anything specific she finds difficult?

That sounds perfect. Sudden changes of plan are the main thing — if the programme shifts we'll always let her (and you) know in advance. Clear, literal communication works best. I'll be on my mobile throughout the stay if anything comes up.
